quick trip

msp-den (minneapolis-denver)

my trip to denver was so short, i kept forgetting about it! i flew in on a tuesday afternoon in late september for an admissions alumni event that evening and flew home the next morning. unfortunately, there weren't many people in attendance, so i pretty much got to hang out with my sto friends at the wynkoop brewery. those in attendance are in support of helping admissions with our recruitment efforts, so in that sense the event was a success.

i'm writing this a week and a half after the trip, so i'm having a hard time remembering anything noteworthy. that and i wasn't there for 24 hours so not much happened. i did have a super tasty salad at the yard house. rob thinks the front desk worker was hitting on me when he said i had a nice smile in my drivers license picture. he then proceeded to pull out his drivers license and showed me his picture. he's apparently quite proud of his smile. rob also thinks the waiter at the wynkoop was hitting on me when, at the end of the event, he asked if he could buy me a drink. i turned him down. on the way home, i sat next to a slightly crazy woman. i shouldn't call her crazy.. she wasn't crazy. i could tell that if i wasn't reading a book, she would have talked my ear off the whole flight. thankfully i was reading. she borrowed my tray to set her drink on ... and asked if i had an extra tampon she could have. i did. :)

i'm a fan of the quick trips. i didn't check luggage, parked at the airport, and didn't have to worry about sheba.

one more trip down, several more to go.
