aloha!

did you know that "aloha" has many meanings? included are: hello, goodbye, and i love you.

i survived the 6 hour flight from anchorage to honolulu. the "portable inflight entertainment device" that i rented for $8 was a lifesaver! i watched 2 movies and was starting a third when they announced that we only had 45 mins left of the flight. piece of cake. the complimentary mai tai helped make the long flight more enjoyable. i'd recommend ak air for long flights anytime.

i haven't done much exploring yet... it was 7:15pm by the time i go to the hotel, but i walked to the neighboring mall just to check out my surroundings. i haven't seen the ocean, but i can definitely smell it in the air! can't wait to open my curtains tomorrow morning to see the view. i'll add a picture, if you're interested. :)

i've been to hawaii before - about 10 years ago with anita and grandma. it's unlikely i'll go parasailing during this trip, but it'll be fun to reminisce about our adventures as i make my way around the island.

can't wait to smell the plumerias, see the ocean and enjoy fresh pineapple.
